A strong performer page should help the right acts self-select in. If it only attracts broad interest without clarifying fit, it needs more specificity.

Room-fit clarity

The page explains the venue tone, schedule rhythm, and audience expectations so performers can judge fit before submitting.

Application routing

Acts can move from the overview into the application flow and supporting event pages without losing context about what the venue books.

Private-event value

Entertainment guidance is tied back to the broader event ecosystem, not treated as an isolated talent form.

Claim restraint

The page stays focused on what performers actually need to know about the room and booking process instead of leaning on empty venue hype.

How this page stays useful

Written to answer a practical artist question: does this room, audience, and schedule fit the act well enough to apply?
Updated when booking patterns, performer categories, or event support changes so the page remains useful for both artists and search systems.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about performing at House of Legends.

How do I apply to perform at House of Legends?

Fill out our application form below with your act details, experience, and links to your work (videos, SoundCloud, Spotify, etc.). Our entertainment coordinator reviews all submissions within 5-7 business days. Selected performers receive a callback for an audition or trial performance.

Do I need to audition in person?

Most performers can submit video links for initial review. If your videos showcase your talent well, we may book you directly. For local artists, we offer trial performances during slower nights. Out-of-town or national touring acts often book based on reputation and video alone.

What equipment do you provide?

We have a professional PA system with microphones, monitors, mixing board, and stage lighting. Basic backline includes stands and cables. DJs should bring their own controller. Full bands typically bring instruments but can use our house drums and bass amp. Contact us for specific tech rider questions.

How much do performers get paid?

Payment varies by act type, day of week, and experience level. Solo artists: $150-400, bands: $250-800, DJs: $200-500, specialty acts: $200-800 per performance. Plus tips, merchandise sales, and meal. Rates negotiable for established artists or recurring bookings.

Can I sell merchandise?

Absolutely! We encourage it. You keep 100% of merchandise sales. We provide a merch table and our staff helps promote your CDs, vinyl, t-shirts, etc. Many performers make significant additional income from merch sales to our engaged audience.

What nights are available for performers?

Wednesday-Sunday are our featured performance nights. Monday and Tuesday focus on lounge programming, and we also book for private events any day. Peak nights (Friday/Saturday) are reserved for established acts or auditioned talent. New performers often start on Wednesdays or Sundays.

Do you host open mic nights?

Yes! Every Monday from 8-10 PM. Sign up starts at 7:30 PM, first-come first-served. Each act gets 15-20 minutes. Open to all genres and performance styles. Great way to test new material, network with other artists, and get noticed by our booking team.

Can I bring my own sound engineer?

Professional touring acts are welcome to bring their own sound engineer who will work with our house system. For most performers, our in-house engineer handles sound and ensures optimal mix for the room. They are experienced with various genres and very easy to work with.

What is the venue capacity and stage size?

Main lounge capacity: 120-150 guests. Stage dimensions: 12ft x 8ft with 10ft ceiling clearance. Full backline setup can accommodate 5-piece bands comfortably. For larger productions or special events, we can reconfigure the space. Outdoor patio available for acoustic sets.

Do you provide accommodation for touring artists?

For national or international touring acts, we can arrange discounted hotel rates at nearby partner hotels in Encino. Local artists typically do not receive accommodation. Discuss lodging needs during booking negotiations for multi-night residencies.
